Lavender Festival

When we went to Seattle, Dawn and Liev were off camping and they went to a lavender festival. Dawn brought back a beautiful bar of handmade lavender soap for me. She put it in a baggie so that I could carry it in my purse, and by the end of the day my entire purse smelled like lavender.

Then I took the bar out of my purse and left it in the hotel room. After being in the room for a few hours it made the entire hotel room smell like lavender! When I packed it up to fly home…you guessed it…the bar of soap made my suitcase and its entire contents smell like yummy lavender.

I’ve decided that I could enjoy that bar of soap without even using it! It’s the best air freshener I’ve ever had! And boy oh boy, do I love the smell of lavender! Now I’m going to repeat the text a few times.

Blogging With Photos

I like blogging with photos. I use a blogging tool to help me format my blog posts and it includes easy-to-use picture tools. I use an account with Photobucket to host the photos that I include in blog posts and use the easy ‘Insert Picture From Web’ tool that is in my blogging software to help me quickly add pictures. Using photos in your blog posts makes posts more visually interesting. There are plenty of places where you can get photos to use in blog posts, or if you’re into photography, you can take your own. The ironic part of this post is that I’m going to post it without a photo because I want to see what a text-only post looks like in the blog body. In the Garden

Here is my test post about being in the garden. I’m going to add a pretty picture to the post too. I wish I had a wildflower garden that looked so pretty, but I can’t seem to find the time to garden. I feel so silly rambling in test posts, but I don’t like the way lorem ipsum text looks, so I’d rather type real words that mean something even if the topic is total nonsense.

I’m using Windows Live Writer to create this post and it makes it easy to wrap the text around the photo. I also have options to make the photo have different effects like a drop shadow, a Polaroid shot, etc. It’s pretty darn neat. Anyhow, here is test post one. I need some post content in here so I can see what things look like. Now I’m just going to repeat the text I already typed.
